Couples Problen Solving
A necessary skill
Love and frustration can co-exist in you. There is room for them both. Relationships can typically house several contradictory emotions. But like loud neighbors some don't always get along.
Blow ups
Sand in the machine of love often comes from the inability to solve problems together in a smooth, efficient way. In the long run this matters as much as good sex.
Do you ever fantasize about having long lovely talks that are easy and chill? Nothing gets triggered. No one gets upset. There is no battlefield. No skirmishes. No wounds. Maybe this is what good love feels like.
Dread
Often you get the opposite. Chaos. Clashes. Try as you might the conversation doesn't go in a straight line. Instead of solving one problem it seems like new problems suddenly crop up. Or you argue about how you argue. The tone. The timing. The word choice. It's all frustratingly normal.
Work of art
There are ways to do it right. To self-regulate.To keep it simple and effective. To solve problems together without feeling like a boxing match or a concert of avoidances. The fires on the ocean can be tamed.
If you would benefit from learning new ways to communicate and resolve problems together I can help you.
